[ARCHIVED] Murfreesboro Art League Exhibit featured in City Hall Rotunda through Jan. 7

Beginning Tuesday, December 8, the Murfreesboro Art League will exhibit members’ works of art in the City Hall Rotunda at 111 W. Vine Street. The exhibit is open through January 7, and a virtual tour is scheduled online December 11 for anyone who can’t visit in person. 


The virtual online tour will be hosted by the Art League’s secretary, Suzanne LeBeau on the Cultural Arts Murfreesboro Facebook page. It will also be available on the city’s website ( by searching “Current Exhibit.”

Founded by a local group of artists and charted in 1966, the Murfreesboro Art League is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop and maintain a vibrant artistic environment in the Murfreesboro community. To maintain this environment, the league strives to promote the appreciation and love of art in our area by hosting the gallery at Cannonsburgh, having art exhibitions through the city, and teaching classes. The first three Monday nights of each month are dedicated to adult classes or open studio time which are held from 7-9 p.m. at the Cannonsburgh gallery. Classes are offered in many disciplines for artists of all levels. Courses vary from oil, acrylic and watercolor to fun and different types of classes such as scratch board, encaustics and batik.
